RTC; Vehicle and occupants reported to have veered of road between Presteigne and Whitton down embankment into River.  (Hay-on-Wye) 16P1, 16L1, Inshore rescue boat and (Carmarthen) 62P2, 62T4 swift water rescue and boat mobilized to incident.  On arrival occupants had managed to escape from  vehicle which was upside down semi submerged in river, with minor injuries and shock. Vehicle winched from river to prevent water contamination and aid recovery.

Hill Fire Gore Quarry, Old Radnor; 17L1 mobilised to supply crews with additional water supplies.

Hill Fire Gore Quarry, Old Radnor. Large area of hill side containing gorse well alight, adjacent properties at risk if fire continued to spread as well as nature reserve. Initial Call Pumps 3, but later made up to pumps 6, 2x Water carriers, and High volume pump and support vehicles.  Hose reels, and 45mm deliveries used. Crews used beaters to contain fire.

Mid and West Wales; 17P1, 16P1, 13P1, 14W1, HVP & Support Vehicle.

House Fire; Initial reports, smoke coming from window of derelict building in Presteigne. On Arrival property well alight. Pumps made from 2 to 4 pumps. Also 17L1 mobilized for additional man power. Water supply made from 2x hydrants and 2x 70mm deliveries and 2 hose reels put to work. 4x BA used. Crews in Delta defensive mode due to property at risk of collapse and scale of fire. No Persons reported. Ground monitors used later in incident. Police requested due to nature of the incident.

RTC: HGV vehicle carrying large quantity of livestock overturned at bottom of steep gradient on B4355 between Presteigne and Knighton. On Arrival driver trapped in cab, Presteigne FRS used cutting equipment to free casualty from cab. Driver taken to hospital by land amb with head injuries. Approx 150 Sheep in trailor unit trapped in wreakage. FRS Crews freed animals. Unfortunately 26 sheep died from the incident.
